Meet Doug Wardlow
Doug has the values, experience, education, work ethic and skills to be an effective advocate for the people of Eagan, for common-sense Minnesota values, and for America's founding principles at the Capitol.
Eagan born and raised (via Fairview Southdale Hospital), Doug attended Eagan-ISD 196 schools from Kindergarten through commencement, including Thomas Lake Elementary School, Dakota Hills Middle School, and Eagan High School. Doug graduated first in his Eagan High School class of approximately 420 students with a perfect GPA and was voted "most likely to succeed." He went on to earn his undergraduate and law degrees with honors from Georgetown University and Georgetown University Law Center.
Now, as a litigation attorney at the firm of Parker Rosen in Minneapolis, Doug advocates for the rights of small businesses, entrepreneurs and property owners in our state and federal courts. Before joining Parker Rosen, Doug served as a law clerk for the Minnesota Supreme Court, practiced international trade litigation at Skadden Arps, practiced business litigation at Faegre and Benson, worked on international construction disputes while interning at a law firm in Taipei, and spent a semester studying Mandarin at Beijing University. At Georgetown Law, Doug won awards for writing the top examinations in his class for American Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence/Legal Justice. He also earned a perfect GPA during an intensive summer study of Chinese law in Beijing.

Doug and his wife, Jenny, live less than a mile from the house where Doug grew up--and where his parents, Lynn and Sheryl Wardlow, reside. Doug and Jenny are also happy and proud new parents of their son, Winston Matthew Wardlow, born September 9.
Doug's understanding and experience in the areas of American jurisprudence, the Constitution and Constitutional law, international trade, foreign relations, international law, and Minnesota law (especially Minnesota law affecting businesses, employers, and property owners) make Doug unique. Doug has a detailed and practical understanding of the most important issues facing Minnesota families, businesses and individuals; he has the ability to view issues from a local point-of-view and analyze them in a broader, national and geo-political context; he has a common-sense, Minnesota perspective; he has a clear legal mind; he is strong in his Christian faith; and he believes firmly in America's founding principles (e.g., individual liberty, personal responsibility, economic freedom and limited government). This combination of qualities, taken together, equip Doug well to tackle head-on the uniquely difficult problems Minnesota faces and get the job done in Saint Paul.
You can trust Doug to listen and to lead--and therefore to serve and to represent you well in the Legislature.
With the ethos and conviction of servant-leadership, Doug will work hard to return fiscal responsibility to the Capitol; to improve Minnesota's business climate and foster durable job creation;to limit government and affirm the sovereignty of the people; to protect our God-given freedoms--and to return prosperity and strength to our great State of Minnesota.
